Helen V. (Bitel) Subach, age 91 of Shenandoah passed away Friday afternoon at her residence.

Born in Shenandoah on September 20, 1920 she was a daughter of the late Victor and Vladislava (Fredrick) Bitel.

She was a graduate of the former J.W. Cooper High School, Shenandoah.

Helen was a member of St. Georges Church, Shenandoah.

Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were her husband, John Subach; two brothers Edward and Boley Bitel; a sister, Stella Bitel; three sisters-in-law, Sister Frances Subach, Sister Helen Subach and Dolores Subach.

Surviving are a sister-in-law, Anna Bitel of Shenandoah; two brothers-in-law, George Subach of Hazleton and Joseph Subach of Florida; a niece and caregiver, Patricia Bitel of Shenandoah, additional nieces, nephews and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM Wednesday in St Stanislaus Church, Shenandoah. Rev. Msgr. Ronald C. Bocian, Pastor will officiate. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Dawn Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights.

There will be no viewing or services from the funeral home or the church prior to the Mass.

Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah is in charge of the arrangements.
