Harry E. George, 54 of 7 South Bower Street, Shenandoah passed away Friday at Schuylkill Medical Center-South Jackson Street, Pottsville.

Born in Shenandoah on February 7, 1958 he is the son of Elizabeth Betty (McGuire) George Dower of Shenandoah with whom he resided and the late Harry M. George.

He worked in the construction trade and was of the Protestant faith.

Surviving in addition to his mother are his step-father, William Dower with whom he resided; two sons, Christopher and Thomas George both of Shenandoah; a daughter, Anita George of Shenandoah; three brothers, Robert George of Tennessee, Frank George of Shenandoah and Michael George and his wife Ingrid of Front Royal, VA; a sister, Nancy Yablonsky of Shenandoah Heights; a grandson, Kash; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 11:00 am from Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah. Rev. Mindy Heppe will officiate. Interment will follow in Annunciation BVM Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday morning from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. There will be no calling hours Tuesday evening.
