Frank A. Chatcavage Jr., 65 of Shenandoah Heights passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at his residence. Born in Shenandoah on May 1, 1957, he was a son of the late Frank Anthony Chatcavage Sr. and the late Adele Catherine (Spudis) Chatcavage. He was a 1975 graduate of the former Cardinal Brennan High School, Fountain Springs and graduated from Stevens Trade School. Frank was a retired union carpenter having been a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters & Joiners of America Local Union 445, Scranton. He was an avid sports fan and especially rooted for the Philadelphia Phillies, the Boston Redsox and the Washington Commanders. He also played softball for the Altamont Fire Company, Frackville. Frank also enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a charter member of the Rodbenders Fishing Club, Ringtown. But above all else, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his pride and joy, his grandson Aidan. Preceding him in death in addition to his parents were two brothers, Stephen and Ronald Chatcavage. Surviving are his caregiver and former wife, Mary Jo (Besparis) Chatcavage of Shenandoah Heights; his daughter, Jennifer Eva Chatcavage of Shenandoah Heights; two grandchildren, Aidan Anthony Diaz and Lukah Ryan Besparis; his cousin and caregiver, Pamela A. Paulaconis and her husband James of Frackville; his nephew, Stephen Edward Chatcavage; additional cousins and friends. Religious Services will be held on Sunday, December 4, 2022 at 5:00 pm at Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 South Jardin St., Shenandoah with Rev. Mindy Heppe officiating. A visitation will be held on Sunday from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm at the funeral home. Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, Shenandoah is in care of the arrangements.
