Francis E. Frank Bloschock, age 81 of 11 Ellengowen Road, Maple Hill, Shenandoah passed away Sunday morning at his residence.
Born in Shenandoah on July 22, 1930 he was the son of the John and Catherine (Hyland) Bloschock.
He was a 1948 graduate of the former Mahanoy Township High School.
Frank was a decorated Army Veteran having served in the Korean War. His decorations and citations include the Korean Service Medal with Three Bronze Stars, United Nations Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal.
He was the former co-owner of the Capitol Food Market, Shenandoah.
Frank was a member of Annunciation BVM Church, Shenandoah.
Preceding him in death in addition to his parents were three brothers, Leo, John and Joseph Bloschock; and two sisters, Helen Brown and Catherine Gasewicz.
Surviving are his niece and caregiver, Catherine M. Gasewicz of Maple Hill; a sister-in-law, Claire Bloschock of Eddystone; additional nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Friday morning at 10:30 am from Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday morning at 11:00 am in Annunciation BVM Church, Shenandoah. Rev. Msgr. Ronald C. Bocian, Pastor will officiate. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family in Annunciation BVM Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday morning from 9:00 am until time of service.
Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, Shenandoah is in charge of the arrangements.
