Eugene Trigger Paulukonis, Sr., age 82 of 123 East Main Street, Girardville passed away Monday at Schuylkill Medical Center-East Norwegian, Pottsville.
Born in William Penn on September 17, 1930 he was a son of the late George and Rose (Suscavage) Paulukonis.
He was a graduate of the former West Mahanoy Township High School.
Prior to his retirement, Trigger was a superintendent for Gilberton Coal Company.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Girardville, Brandonville Fire Company, Ashland Elks BPOE 944, and the Golden Age Club of Mahanoy City.
Trigger was an avid outdoorsman; he enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening. He also took great pleasure in cooking and going to the casinos.
Preceding him in death in addition to his parents were his great-grandson, Blaze; five brothers, two sisters and three half-sisters.
Surviving are his wife of 61 years, the former Jean F. Brown; three sons, Robert Paulukonis of Girardville, Eugene Paulukonis, Jr. and his wife Janet of Girardville, and Brian Paulukonis of Shenandoah Heights; five grandchildren, Christine, Robert Jr., Laura Jean, James Douglas and Lydia Marie; one great-granddaughter, Ava; one brother, John Paulukonis of North Wales; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Prayer and scripture services will be held Friday, 11:00 AM at Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin Street, Shenandoah. Pastor Sue Ketterer will officiate. Interment will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Frackville.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 10:00 AM until time of services. There will be no calling hours Thursday evening.
Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, Shenandoah is in charge of the arrangements.
