Estelle F. Grutza, age 91 of Shenandoah Heights passed away Thursday morning at her residence with her family by her side.

Born in Shenandoah Heights on June 2, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Mary (Fruddam) Grutza.

She was educated in the West Mahanoy Township Schools.

Prior to her retirement, Estelle was a nurses aide at the former Ashland State Hospital.

Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were her siblings, Elsie Grutza, Helen Novak, Anna Newerella, Bertha Heffner, Lottie McGuire, Frances Grutza and Joseph Grutza and Edward Grutza.

Surviving are three sisters, Pauline B. Grutza with whom she resided, Theresa McCord of Springfield, MA and Mary Huss of Frackville, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, a great-great-nephew, cousins and many friends.

Estelle was a loving sister, aunt and dear friend to all.

Graveside services will be held in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights at the convenience of the family with Rev. Mindy Heppe officiating.

Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah is in charge of the arrangements.
