Elsie T. (Michalowski) Norcavage, age 94 of 123 N. Jardin St., Shenandoah passed away peacefully Thursday afternoon at her residence with family at her side.
Born in Shenandoah on February 11, 1918 she was a daughter of the late Enoch and Sophie Michalowski.
Mrs. Norcavage was a member of St. Georges Church, Shenandoah. Earlier, she was a member of St. Casimirs Church, Shenandoah.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were her husband John Norcavage in 1985; a daughter, Joan Hobbs in 2002; five brothers, Victor, Joseph, Wallace, Enoch Jr. and Vincent Michalowski.
Surviving are four daughters, Gloria E. Norcavage with whom she resided, Patricia Whitecavage of Mahanoy City, Susan Supreme of Shenandoah and Kathleen Klein and her husband Robert of Hellertown; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 9:30 am from Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10:00 am in St. Casimirs Church, 229 N. Jardin St., Shenandoah. Rev. Msgr. Ronald C. Bocian, Pastor will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Casimirs Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Sunday evening from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
