Obituary

Eleanor R. (Michalik) Gursky, 84, formerly of Frackville, passed away peacefully Friday evening at Shenandoah Senior Living Community, Shenandoah.

Born in Shenandoah, Feb. 19, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Agnes Poremba Michalik.

She was a graduate of the former J.W. Cooper High School, Shenandoah.

Eleanor was a retired garment worker, having last worked for many years at the former Model Garment Factory, Frackville.

She was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Parish, Frackville, having attended St. Ann Church. She was also a member of the Greater Shenandoah Area Senior Citizens and the International Ladies' Garment Workers' Union.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward H. Gursky, in 1982; three brothers, John, Edward and Leonard Michalik; a sister, Mary Rudzinski.

She is survived by a brother, Joseph Michalik and his wife, Dolores, Lansdale; nephews and caregivers, Ed and Jerry Rudzinski; niece and caregiver, Judy Ross; additional nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Ann Church, Frackville. The Rev. Robert T. Finlan, pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Frackville. Relatives and friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Ann Church, Frackville.

Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah, is in charge of arrangements.
