Eleanor W. Isgate, 95, of Weston Place, Shenandoah, passed away peacefully Thursday, March 4, 2021, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Schuylkill E. Norwegian Street, Pottsville, after a short illness. Born October 20, 1925, in Shenandoah, she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Adelle (Ragazinsky) Wishnefski. She was a graduate of the former West Mahanoy Township High School, Shenandoah Heights. Eleanor was a retired garment worker, having worked in the local garment industry and was a member of the ILGWU. She was also a member of the former Primitive Methodist Church, Shenandoah. Eleanor loved to travel to historical places both domestically and internationally. She was a dedicated wife to her late husband, Francis J. Isgate Sr.; a loving mother to her children, her daughter, Mary Lynn Allard-Volk, of Oregon City, Ore.; her three sons, Francis J. Isgate II, of Mahanoy City, John O. Isgate, of Shenandoah, and Glenn E. Isgate, of Frackville. Also surviving are five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Relative and friends are invited to attend scripture services at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, March 25, at Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah, with the Rev. Mindy Heppe officiating. A visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to noon Thursday at the funeral home.
