Eleanor P. (Gurski) Lombard, 86, of Shenandoah Heights, passed away peacefully Monday at Shenandoah Senior Living Community.

Born in Shenandoah, June 26, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Stanley and Julia (Rudalavage) Gurski.

Eleanor was a member of Divine Mercy Parish, Shenandoah, and a former member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church, Shenandoah. She was also a member of the ILGWU.

Mrs. Lombard worked in the local garment industry. She was last employed at Shenandoah Manor in the dietary department.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were her husband, Sam A. Lombard, on Dec. 15, 1993, and a daughter, Sharon Lombard Misunas, on Nov. 8, 2001.

Surviving are a son, James S. Lombard and his wife, Gina, Shenandoah Heights; a daughter, Rose Marie McHugh and her husband, John, Weatherly; six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Private services and interment will be held at the convenience of the family. Walu-kiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah, is in charge of the arrangements.
