Edward M. Shomoskie, age 66 of Shenandoah passed away Tuesday at Schuylkill Medical Center-East Norwegian Street, Pottsville.

Born in Shenandoah on March 24, 1947, he was the son of the late Edward J. and Beatrice (Matalavage) Shomoskie.

He was a 1965 graduate of J.W. Cooper High School, Shenandoah.

Eddie was a co-owner of the former E & J Dismantling Co., Shenandoah with his late brother Joseph A. Shomoskie who died March 5, 2011.

He was a member of St. Georges Church and a life member ofthe Polish American Fire Company both of Shenandoah.

Surviving are his daughter, McKenzie Shomoskie of Frackville; one sister-in-law, Linda L. Shomoskie of Shenandoah; one aunt, Florence Yanall of Shenandoah Heights and cousins.

Prayer and scripture services will be held Saturday morning at 11:00 am from Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S Jardin St., Shenandoah. Rev. Msgr. Ronald C. Bocian, Pastor will officiate. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Dawn Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights.
