Edward Gavenas, 70, a lifelong resident of Shenandoah, passed away Monday evening, November 24th, 2025 while a guest at the Schuylkill Center in Pottsville. Ed was born in Shenandoah on April 4, 1955, a son of the late Charles and Anna Marie (Kubilus) Gavenas. He was a kind hearted man who was always willing to lend a hand to those in need. He loved being "on the mountain" with his friends, and could always be found around the Shenandoah area, where he was employed locally as a masonry worker and in building demolition, along with doing many small jobs for those who asked for his help. Ed is survived by an extended family of nieces and nephews, along with many friends. Private funeral services have been entrusted to the Walukiewicz Oravitz-Fell Funeral Home, Shenandoah.
