Dorothy H. (Majkowski) Letcavage, 89 formerly of Shenandoah Heights passed away on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at Luther Ridge at Seiders Hill, Pottsville. Born in Shenandoah on June 27, 1932, she was a daughter of the late John and Stella (Wonderlick) Majkowski. She was a 1949 graduate of the former West Mahanoy Township High School, Shenandoah Heights. Dorothy was a retired garment worker having last been employed at the former City Shirt Factory, Frackville. She was a member of Saint John the Baptist Church, Pottsville and a member of the former Saint Stanislaus Church, Shenandoah. She was also a member of the Amalgamated Garment Workers of America and the Greater Shenandoah Area Senior Citizens. Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were her husband John P. "Johnny Letko" Letcavage on September 1, 2011; two sons, Robert M. "Robbie" Letcavage and John P. Letcavage Jr.; two brothers, Paul & Albert Majkowski; and one sister, Irene Woodburn. Surviving are two daughters, Janice wife of Jeffrey Bradbury of Shenandoah Heights and Cheryl Kleinz and her husband Kevin of Rutland, Vermont; one son, Stephen Letcavage and his wife Theresa of Mahanoy City; her granddaughter and caregiver, Tammy Cooper and her husband Ken of Pottsville; nine additional grandchildren, Jerome, Michael, Brianne, Patrick, Caroline, Meghan, Justin, Stephen and Joseph; nine great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Private services with interment in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family.
