Dorothy A Dot (Majewski) Karpovich, age 73 of 335 W. Poplar St., Shenandoah passed away peacefully Friday at Ridgeview Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Shenandoah Heights.

Born in Shenandoah on December 20, 1940 she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Kasperowicz) Majewski.

Dot was a 1958 graduate of the former J.W. Cooper High School, Shenandoah.

She was a member of St. Stanislaus Church, Shenandoah.

Dot took great delight in preparing various ethnic dishes and was especially noted for her apple pie. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening and was an avid Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles fan.

Preceding her in death in addition to her parents was one sister, Regina Brown

Surviving are her husband of 54 years, Raymond P. Karpovich; one son, David Karpovich of Shenandoah; two daughters, Karen wife of Gary Kufro of Shenandoah Heights and Donna wife of Francis Kalenkoski of Shenandoah; six grandchildren, Stephanie and Amanda Kalenkoski; Kristen Kufro and Ashley, Kevin and Kaitlyn Karpovich; three brothers, Joseph Majewski and his wife Marie of Hanover, Bernard Majewski and Albert Majewski both of Shenandoah; two sisters, Joan Majewski of Shenandoah and Alice wife of John Palek of Shenandoah; an aunt, Sophie Zukowski of Shenandoah and an uncle, EdwardMajewski of Union, NJ; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 am from Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM in St. Casimir Church, Shenandoah. Rev. Msgr. Ronald C. Bocian, Pastor will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday morning from 9:00 AM until the time of service. There will be no calling hours on Monday evening.
