Diane M. Pietkiewicz, 52, of Shenandoah, passed away Monday evening.

Born in Philadelphia, Nov. 12, 1963, she was a daughter of Stanley T. Pietkiewicz Sr., Shenandoah, and the late Irene Walukiewicz Pietkiewicz, RN.

She was a 1981 graduate of Shenandoah Valley High School and earned a master's degree in American studies from Penn State University.

Diane was employed as a social worker for Schuylkill County Children and Youth Services, Pottsville.

Surviving, in addition to her father, are a son, Andrew Pietkiewicz, Shenandoah; four brothers, Stanley T. Pietkiewicz Jr., Shenandoah, Michael Pietkiewicz and his wife, Amy, Jefferson, Md., Leo Pietkiewicz and his close relative, Rebecca Karenda, Shenandoah, and Alan Pietkiewicz, Drums; a sister, Jane Shustack, Pottsville; two nephews, Joseph and Tyler Shustack; a niece, Carrissa Pietkiewicz; a great-nephew, Landyn Shustack; aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends and coworkers.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah, is in charge of the arrangements.
