Denise M. (Stott) Gallo, 55, of Shenandoah, formerly of Sinking Spring, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday afternoon at her residence. Born in Reading, March 28, 1963, she was a daughter of Donald Stott, Mohton, and the late Judith (Phillips) Stott. She was a 1981 graduate of the Wilson High School, West Lawn. Denise was last employed at the Reading Hospital as a unit clerk in Labor and Delivery. She was of the Lutheran faith and was a former member of the Grace Lutheran Church, Shillington. On May 16, 1998, in the Grace Lutheran Church, Shillington, she married John L. "Jack" Gallo Jr., who survives. Denise was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She treasured the time spent with her family who were of most importance to her. Preceding her in death, in addition to her mother, was her infant son, Jason, at birth. Surviving in addition to her father and her husband of 20 years are five sons, Jared Jurkowski and his wife, Allison, Texas, Jordan Jurkowski, Sinking Spring, Jacob, Justin and James Gallo, all at home; five grandchildren, Elizabeth, Tyler, Jared, Jordan and Colbey Jurkowski; a sister, Deana Pietrowski and her husband, Matt, Shillington; her mother-in-law, Dolores Swantek Gallo, Shenandoah; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, many friends and her loyal pet beagle, Jiggs. Religious services will be held at noon Thursday at Klee Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 1 E. Lancaster Ave., Shillington. The Rev. David Roper will officiate. Interment will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery, Sinking Spring. A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until noon Thursday at Klee Funeral Home. Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah, is in charge of the arrangements.
