David Allen Bohanick, 62, of Mount Joy, passed away peacefully Monday in Mount Joy.
Born in Portsmouth, Va., Aug. 12, 1953, he was a son of Katie Sue Gates Bohanick, Pensacola, Fla., and the late Leo Bohanick.
He was a expert welder having worked in the construction industry and was a member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union Local 520 of Harrisburg.
David loved shooting pool, hunting, fishing and creating ornamental metal works.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are a son, David J. Bohanick, Selinsgrove; a daughter, Jennifer L. McGinley and her husband, Brian, Pottsville; seven brothers, Leo Ronald Bohanick and his wife, Linda, Maple Valley, Wash., Joseph Bohanick, Tucson, Ariz., Gary Bohanick and his wife, Charlotte, Wernersville, Ben Bohanick and his wife, Charlotte, Lucedale, Miss., Russell Bohanick, Pensacola, Fla., Brian Randall Bohanick and his wife, Lisa, Mount Joy, Jeffrey Bohanick, Shenandoah and Angela Bohanick, Helena, Miss.; his long-term companion, Jean Nuss, Mount Joy; twin grandchildren, Heidi and Holis McGinley; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews; cousins and his faithful dog, "Patches".
A religious service will be held at noon Wednesday at Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah. The Rev. Ben Bohanick will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights. Relatives and friends may call from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday at the funeral home.
Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, Shenandoah, is in charge of the arrangements.
