Obituary

Daniel George Oshman, 64, of Shenandoah, passed away peacefully Saturday morning at his residence with his loving family by his side.

Born in Shenandoah, May 1, 1953, he was a son of the late Albert and Jean (Dresher) Oshman.

He was a 1971 graduate of Shenandoah Valley High School.

Prior to his retirement, Daniel was a machine operator at the former Argo Mills, Schuylkill Haven.

On June 30, 1973, in the Gilberton Methodist Church, he married the former Mary Klinger, who survives.

He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Ringtown. Danny loved fishing, camping and spending time with family and friends but especially treasured the company of his three granddaughters.

In addition to his wife of almost 44 years, Mary Oshman, he is survived by a daughter, Alicia Petritsch and her husband, John, Weston Place; three cherished granddaughters, Danielle, Lauren and Emily Petritsch; a brother, James Oshman and his wife, Pat, Llewellyn; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Religious services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in St. John's Lutheran Church, 112 W. Main St., Ringtown, with the Rev. Jay Serafin, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights. Relatives and friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday at St. John's Lutheran Church.

Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah, is in charge of the arrangements.
