Daniel D. Marcinowski Sr., 80, of Barnesville, formerly of Shenandoah Heights, passed away Sunday, June 5, 2022, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Schuylkill E. Norwegian Street, Pottsville.
Born January 18, 1942, in Shenandoah, he was a son of the late Frank and Jean (Sobolewski) Marcinowski.
He was a graduate of the former J.W. Cooper High School, Shenandoah.
Dan was a US Army veteran.
Prior to his retirement, Dan was employed at Hamburg Center.
He was a member of the former Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Shenandoah, and was a former member of Saint Richard's Church, Barnesville. Dan was a member the Knights of Columbus, Francis Cardinal Brennan Council 618 and the Polish American Fire Company No. 4, both of Shenandoah and the Frackville American Legion Post 398.
Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, were his daughter, Lori Ann Russell, in January 2013, and his brother, Frank Marcinowski.
Surviving are his wife, Anna Marie (Kline) Marcinowski; his son, Daniel D. Marcinowski Jr. and his wife, Kirsten, of Fountain Springs; four grandchildren, PFC Jordan Russell stationed at Fort Benning, Georgia, and Taylor and Madison Russell and Zachary Marcinowski; his son-in-law, Brian Russell, Sr. of Frackville; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Religious services will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah. Deacon John Setlock will officiate. Interment with military honors will follow in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights. A visitation will be held from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
