Daniel John "Danny" Chuplis, formerly of Shenandoah, passed away Friday, July 14, 2023, at the ReDCo Group Home in Frackville.
Born March 5, 1962, in Shenandoah, he was a son of Anthony R. and Alberta Jean (Johnson) Chuplis.
Danny graduated from Schuylkill Intermediate Unit.
Danny was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Shenandoah.
Danny was very special and will be remembered for his friendly smile and warm hugs. He enjoyed the various programs he attended along with the adult recreation, especially bowling and the dances. He loved to play bingo at the bazaars and the penny auctions at church. He was a good fisherman and even made a trip to Canada.
A special thank you for his caregivers at the Group Home and the Hospice of Central PA team.
Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, were his sister-in-law, Judith Ann Chuplis, and his two nephews, Robert and David Chuplis.
Surviving are his brother and caregiver, Anthony "Chipper" Chuplis and his wife, Susie, of Shenandoah; brother, Robert Chuplis, of Girardville; sister, Rita Pritula and her husband, John, of Lost Creek; brother, Richard Chuplis and his wife, Angela, of Wapwallopen; nieces and nephews.
Religious and scripture services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 18, at Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah. The Rev. Julian Milewski will officiate. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Dawn Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights. A viewing will be held from 8 until 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
