Clara F. (Kankowski) Wachhaus, age 90 formerly of Ringtown passed awayWednesdaymorning at the Shenandoah Senior Living Community.

Born in Shenandoah on August 27, 1923 she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Klocek) Kankowski.

She was a retired garment worker having worked in the local garment industry.

Clara was a member St. Marys Church, Ringtown and the ILGWU.

Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were her husband, Donald Wachhaus, Sr. in 1986, her daughter Anna Marie Hilbert in 1986 and siblings.

Surviving are her son, Donald Wachhaus, Jr. and his wife Donna of Hazleton; one brother, Joseph Kankowski of New York; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be heldSaturday at 9:15 AMfrom Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebratedSaturday at 10:00 AMin St. Marys Church, Ringtown.Rev. James M. Torpey, Pastor will officiate.Interment will follow in St. Casimir Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights.
