“Cele” (Rollis) O’Brien

Cecelia E. "Cele" Rollis O'Brien, 85, formerly of Ellengowan, passed away peacefully Monday at Shenandoah Senior Living Community.
Born in MaryD, May 16, 1929, she was a daughter of the late August and Anna Sa-dukas Rollis.
Cele was a graduate of the former Mahanoy City High School.
She was a retired garment worker, having last been employed by the former Villa Fashions, Shenandoah.
She was a member of Divine Mercy Parish, Shenandoah and the former St. George Roman Catholic Church, Shenandoah. She was also a member of ILGWU.
Her family was most important to her; she loved animals, especially her cat, Little Bitta.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were her husband, William E. "Bill" O'Brien, on April 11, 2008; one brother, Joseph Rollis, and one sister, Veronica Rollis. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Surviving are four daughters, Brenda O'Rourke, Frackville, Sharon and her husband, Joseph Salvadore, Ringtown, Mia Light, Peoria, Ill., and Adrienne O'Brien, Harrisburg; two sons, Christopher P. O'Brien and his wife, Katrina, Winchester, Tenn., and Timothy O'Brien and his wife, Patricia, Frackville; 15 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday from Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah. A Mass of Christian Burial will then be celebrated at 10 a.m. in Divine Mercy Church, 230 W. Cherry St., Shenandoah. Monsignor Ronald C. Bocian, pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Canicus Cemetery, Mahanoy Township.
Relatives and friends may call from 8:30 until 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, Shenandoah, is in charge of the arrangements.
