Bernadine "Mickey" (Mikita) Kamel, 81 of Malvern formerly of Shenandoah passed away on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Green Meadows Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Malvern. Born in Shenandoah on September 14, 1940, she was a daughter of the late John and Loretta (Radzi) Mikita. She moved to New York City where for fifty years, she lived, worked and retired, and raised her family. In 2012, she moved back to Pennsylvania with her husband to be closer to her son Sherif and her daughter-in-law, Jeanine and her grandchildren. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a Senior Clinical Registered Nurse, at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, NY for 35 years. Mickey was a devout catholic and was a member of the former St. Stanislaus Church, Shenandoah. Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were her husband, Salah Kamel in 2013, two sisters Jacqueline Nealon in 1990 and Geraldine "Gerry Zuber" Zubowicz on January 26, 2022. Surviving are her son, Sherif Kamel and his wife Jeanine of Exton; her grandsons, Landon and Aiden; two sisters, Marie Mikita of New York, NY and Lorraine Passerelli of Lakewood, NJ; and nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Mickey's family extends heartfelt thanks to staff of Green Meadows of Malvern for the care, comfort and compassion they gave during the past month. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 18, 2022 at 10:00 am in Divine Mercy Church, 232 West Cherry Street, Shenandoah with Monsignor Ronald C. Bocian, Pastor as the celebrant. Interment will follow in Saint Stanislaus Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights. A visitation will be held on Friday morning from 9:00 am until 10:00 am in Divine Mercy Church. All attending are requested to wear masks. Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S.
