Barbara J. (Korenda) Kittredge, 71, of 100 S. Main St., Shenandoah, passed away peacefully Friday morning at Golden LivingCenter-York Terrace, Pottsville.

Born in Shenandoah, July 28, 1943, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Stella (Wasilewski) Korenda.

She was a 1962 graduate of the former Shenandoah Catholic High School.

Prior to her retirement, Barbara worked as a clerk in the insurance industry in New Jersey.

She was a member of Divine Mercy Parish and the former St. Stanislaus Church, both of Shenandoah.

Surviving are one brother, Walter Korenda and his wife, Geraldine, Reading; two sisters, Patricia Gummere and her husband, Thomas, La Plata, Md., and Virginia Schlitzer and her husband, Bernard, Watkinsville, Ga.; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday from Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. in Divine Mercy Church, 232 W. Cherry St., Shenandoah. Monsignor Ronald C. Bocian, pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Fatima Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights. Relatives and friends may call from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
