Annette "Netty" Sosna, 71, a lifelong resident of Shenandoah, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Tuesday, December 9th, 2025. Annette was born at the former Locust Mountain Hospital in Shenandoah on April 27th, 1954, a daughter of the late John and Agnes (Obzut) Sosna. She was a graduate of the former JW Cooper High School in Shenandoah, and went on to work for and retired from Jeld Wen Inc., of Ringtown. Netty was an avid Miami Dolphin football fan, and enjoyed going swimming. She loved having Sunday breakfast out with her family and friends, enjoyed playing Bingo and going to the local Casinos. She was also an avid softball player, along with being a coach for the Shenandoah Area Girls Softball League where she also umpired for over 10 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Steven and Michael Sosna. She is survived by four brothers, John, Jr., Paul, David 'Yogi' and Mark; along with five sisters, Kathleen Beenick, Bonita "Tootsie" O'Donnell, Marie Clark, Theresa Leonarczyk and Victoria Lindenmuth. Netty is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and great nieces that she loved dearly. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Friday, December 26th, 2025 from 10 am until 12 Noon at the Walukiewicz Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 South Jardin Street, Shenandoah. Netty will be laid to rest during private family services at a later date.
