Annette C. "Ann" Sacco (nee Mahoney), age 75, a lifelong resident of Shenandoah passed away on Monday, July 11, 2022 in her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Shenandoah on December 29, 1946, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Post) Mahoney. Ann was a graduate of Shenandoah Catholic High School Class of 1964 and McCann School of Business. "Ann", "Mahoney", or as she was fondly known to her seven grandchildren and countless others - Nana, fought a heroic two-year battle against cancer. Nana lived life to the fullest and loved to the fullest. And if you knew Nana, she was more than happy to share some of that love with you! Nana loved having fun and spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren. Whenever Nana was around, you could expect the unexpected, along with countless hours of laughter. Nana created many lasting memories and never met a person she was not willing to befriend or talk to. She will be missed by her family and numerous others, but her stories will continue her legacy. Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were her sisters and their husbands, Janette (Mahoney) and Dennis Glynn, Patricia (Mahoney) and Ronald Payne. Nana is survived by her husband of almost 55 years, Nicholas "Nick" Sacco; her children, Nanette Lauta and her husband Tom of Frackville, Nick Sacco and his wife Regina of Allentown and Dr. James Sacco and his wife Stephanie of Center Valley; her grandchildren, Joshua Dziczek, Esq., Jordan Dziczek, Brayden Lauta, Anthony Sacco, Cooper Sacco, Tavia Sacco and Greyson Sacco; her brothers, John Mahoney and his wife Cindy of Levittown and Jerry Mahoney of Tamaqua as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and many friends.
