Anne T. Gwiazdowski, 88, formerly of Pavillion, Wyoming, entered into eternal rest at The Residence of Fitz Farm, York, Pennsylvania on Thursday February 13, 2025 surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late William J. Andersen.

Ms. Gwiazdowski was born November 30, 1936 in Shenandoah, the daughter of the late Edward F. and Nellie M. (Dougert) Gwiazdowski.

She was a 1954 graduate of Shenandoah Catholic High School. She received her B.S.N. from The University of Pennsylvania in 1974 and a Master's in Public Health from the University of California at Berkeley in 1978.

She was appointed as a Nurse Officer in the Regular Corps of the United States Health Service on September 1, 1978 and achieved the rank of Captain.  She was employed as a Public Health Administrator in maternal and children's health at the San Carlos Reservation in Arizona and the Wind River Reservation in Wyoming.

She enjoyed traveling and visiting many places in Europe, Asia, Russia and the United States.

Anne was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Susan Zmuda. She is survived by her sister, Helene, of Somerville, New Jersey, brothers Edward (Gloria) Gwiazdowski of Palmerton, PA and Joseph (Margaret) Gwiazdowski of York, PA and many loving nieces and nephews and grandnieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Msgr. Ronald Bocian at the Divine Mercy Church, 232 West Cherry Street, Shenandoah at 10 AM on March 13, 2025.   Visitation will be held from 9 AM until 10 AM before the mass.  Ann will be laid to rest in the Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights, immediately following the mass.

Memorial contributions may be made in Anne's memory to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation or a charity of one's choosing.
