Anna C. Snoich, RN, 93 passed away peacefully on Friday, September 4, 2020 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Schuylkill East, Pottsville.
Born in Shenandoah on July 12, 1927 she was a daughter of the late Steven and Anna (Lesousky) Snoich.
She was a 1944 graduate of the former J.W. Cooper High School, Shenandoah and Saint Mary's Hospital School of Nursing, Philadelphia.
Earlier in life she was employed at the Women's Medical College of Philadelphia and retired early to take care of her mother.
She was a member of Divine Mercy Parish, Shenandoah formerly Saint George's Church. She was proud of her Lithuanian heritage and was a member of the Lithuanian Women's Alliance and the Knights of Lithuania. She was also a member of the Catholic Nurse's Guild.
Anna enjoyed gardening and loved flowers. She was often seen in the community planting and taking care of them.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were her brother, Fr. Stephen Snoich, OSB and her sister, Teresa Winkler.
Surviving are three nieces, two nephews; five great-nephews and two great-nieces.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 11, 2020 at 12:00 Noon in Divine Mercy Church, 232 West Cherry Street, Shenandoah with Monsignor Ronald C. Bocian, Pastor as the celebrant. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Fatima Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights. A visitation will be held on Friday morning from 11:00 am until noon at the church.
Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah is in charge of the arrangements.
