Ann M. (Szuler) Parrell, age 89 of 433 W. Cherry St., Shenandoah passed away Saturday at Schuylkill Medical Center-East Norwegian Street, Pottsville.
Born in Shenandoah on April 9, 1922 she was the daughter of the late Victor and Mary (Mroz) Szuler.
She was a 1940 graduate of the former J. W. Cooper High School, Shenandoah.
Ann was retired having worked for the Civil Service for 15 years.
She was member of St. Stanislaus Church, the Rosary and Sacred Heart Sodalities of the parish, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court Annunciation #175 and the Greater Shenandoah Area Senior Citizens, all of Shenandoah.
Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were her husband, Anthony D. Parrell on October 14, 1995 a brother Victor Szuler, Jr. and a sister Mary Petrucka.
Surviving are a daughter Antoinette Parrell of Shenandoah; a son Michael Parrell and his wife Judy of Williamston, NC; two grandchildren Melissa and Christopher; three great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday morning at 10:00 am from the Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am in St. Stanislaus Church, Shenandoah. Rev. Msgr. Ronald C. Bocian, Pastor will officiate. Interment will follow at 12:30 pm in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday morning from 9:00 am to 10:00 am. There will be no calling hours Wednesday evening.
The family prefers donation to St. Stanislaus Church Memorial Fund, 108 W. Cherry St., Shenandoah, PA 17976.
Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, Shenandoah is in charge of the arrangements.
