Ann C. (Bokunewicz) Bushinsky, 85, formerly of Shenandoah Heights, passed away peacefully on Friday morning at Luther Crest Retirement Community, Allentown.

Ann was the youngest child of the late Peter and Nellie (Choplick) Bokunewicz. She was born in their house on Florida Avenue where she lived most of her life.

She was a proud member of the West Mahanoy Township High School Class of 1947; she helped coordinate many reunions over the years.

Following high school, Ann worked for several years for the State of Pennsylvania in Harrisburg.

In 1960 she married Joseph W. Bushinsky who died suddenly in 1969.

Ann was preceded in death by her siblings Julius Bokunewicz, Florence Nowak and Charles Bokunewicz.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Suzanne and David Rowland of Jenkintown; her son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Janet Bushinsky of Allentown; her grandchildren Sara Rowland, Sam Rowland, Shannon Bushinsky, Alex Bushinsky and Jill Bushinsky.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 10:00 a.m. from Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. in Divine Mercy Parish at the sacred worship site of St. Casimir Church, 229 N. Jardin St., Shenandoah. Rev. Msgr. Ronald C. Bocian, Pastor will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights.

Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday morning from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
