Obituary

Anatole "Tony" Nasobkow, 76 of Greenbury Road, New Castle Township, Pottsville passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at his residence. Born in Bavaria, Germany on October 23, 1946, he was the son of the late Stefan and Dora (Darka) (Sirman) Nasobkow who immigrated from the Ukraine. He was a graduate of Olney High School, Philadelphia. He attended Temple University then transferred to Tri State College, Angola, Indiana where he received his BA in accounting. He was employed for over twenty-three years for Penske Trucking and Leasing, first in New Jersey then in Pottsville and lastly at the Highridge Industrial Park prior to his retirement. Preceding him in death in addition to his parents was his fiancé Rose Marie A. Styka on July 23, 2019. Surviving are his brother, Stephen Nasobkow, Jr. and his wife Elizabeth Ralston of Philadelphia; his sister, Helena Nina Nasobkow and her husband Bruno Vogelsanger of Hilltown; and his nephew, Nicholas Stephen Nasobkow of Ambler. Religious services will be held on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at 10:00 am at Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral, 132 South Jardin Street, Shenandoah with Monsignor Ronald C. Bocian, officiating. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Fatima Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights. A visitation will be held on Wednesday morning, March 1 from 9:00 am until 10:00 am at the funeral home.
