Obituary

Alice J. (Wychulis) Cicioni, 81, a longtime resident of Lower William Penn, Shenandoah, currently residing with her daughter, Shirley C. Antonini at Guldin Acres, Schuylkill Haven went home to be with God on Friday, May 14, 2021 at Geisinger St. Luke's Hospital, Orwigsburg. Born in Shenandoah on November 26, 1939, she was a daughter of the late John & Alice (Miskinis) Wychulis and the granddaughter of late Rose Miskinis who raised her. She was a graduate of the former West Mahanoy Township High School, Shenandoah Heights and as she was a talented singer, performed at many school functions. Alice was a retired employee having worked in the local garment industry. She was a member of Divine Mercy Parish, Shenandoah and the former St. George's Church. She was also a member of St. Ambrose Church, Schuylkill Haven and the ILGWU. Alice was a devoted mother and grandmother especially to her three grandchildren who were the light of her life. She enjoyed attending their school events and activities. As a hobby, she enjoyed making trips to the local casinos. Preceding her in death in addition to her parents and grandmother were her husband and high school sweetheart, Louis G. Cicioni on September 7, 2016; and two sisters, Beann Samalko and Mary Ellen Wychulis. Surviving are her daughter, Shirley C. Antonini and her husband Robert of Schuylkill Haven with whom she was currently resided; three grandchildren, Angelique Antonini, Antoinette Antonini and Robert Antonini, II; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at 10:30 am in St. Ambrose Church, 201 Randel St., Schuylkill Haven with Monsignor Edward S. Zemanik, Pastor as the celebrant. Entombment will follow in Calvary Hill Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights. A viewing will be held on Thursday morning from 9:15 am until 10:15 am in St. Ambrose Church. All current state and federal COVID-19 guidelines and regulations will be observed. Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah is in charge of the arrangements.
