Adele Urbanowicz, age 89 a former resident of W. Arlington St., Shenandoah passed away Thursday at Life Care & Rehabilitation Center, Lawrenceville, Georgia. She and her sister, Helen were residing withtheir sister, Sophia in Georgia for the past three years.
Born in Shenandoah on November 18, 1923 she was a daughter of the late Konstanty and Ludwiga (Szmuski) Urbanowicz.
She was a graduate of the former J.W. Cooper High School, Shenandoah.
For her entire career, Adele worked as a bookkeeper in the local garment industry. She last worked and retired from the former Alma Dress Factory, Shenandoah.
She was a member of St. Casimir Church, Shenandoah.
Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were her sister and brother-in-law, Josephine and John Curry; a brother, Stanley Urbanowicz, a nephew, Francis Curry and a great-nephew, Jeffrey Curry.
Surviving are two sisters, Helen Urbanowicz formerly of Shenandoah residing with her sister, Sophia and her husband Dr. Francis K. Moll of Lawrenceville, GA; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mass of Christian Burial will be concelebrated Thursday at 10:30 AM in St. Casimir Church, Shenandoah. Rev. Msgr. Ronald C. Bocian, Pastor and Rev. Francis Tamburro will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Casimir Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights.
Relatives and friends may call Thursday at St. Casimir Church from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. There will be no viewing or services from the funeral home.
Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah is in charge of the arrangements.
