Robert T. “Termite” Dombrosky

Robert T. "Termite" DombroskyRobert T. “Termite” Dombrosky, 80, of Shenandoah`, passed away Wednesday at Lehigh Valley Hospice Center, Allentown.

Born in Shenandoah, January 27, 1938, he was a son of the late Joseph and Veronica (Azukas) Dombrosky.

He was a 1955 graduate of the former J.W. Cooper High School, Shenandoah.

Bob retired from New England Motor Freight, Lehighton, as a dock supervisor.

On July 9, 1961, he married the former Lorraine Melnick, who survives.

Bob enjoyed the outdoors, where he loved to pick mushrooms and most of all, fish where he spent much time on his boat trying to land the big one.

Pop-Pop’s biggest joy was his 11 grandchildren, along with his wife, Lorraine, aka Nanny, never missed an event, was always there to support them.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by one sister, Carol Shroup.

Surviving, in addition to his wife of 57 years, Lorraine Dombrosky, are his children, Lisa Stankiewitch and her husband, Michael, Orwigsburg, Robert Dombrosky and his wife, Sherri, Shenandoah, Jennifer Dombrosky-Najera, Shenandoah, and John Paul Dombrosky and his wife, Sandra, Shenandoah; a brother, Joseph “Brooky” Dombrosky, Shenandoah; a sister, Arlene Fonslick, Doylestown; his 11 beloved grandchildren, Michael Stankiewitch and his wife, Terri, Orwigsburg, Matthew Stankiewitch and his wife, Emily, King of Prussia, Aaron Dombrosky, Shenandoah, Joshua Dombrosky, Pittsburgh, Daniel Merva and his wife, Natasha, Shenandoah, Nicholas Merva, Shenandoah, Kevin Najera, Shenandoah, Julia Najera, Frackville, and Avery, Taylor and Brenna Dombrosky, all of Shenandoah; two great-grandchildren, Ayva Merva and Daniel Merva Jr.; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

PSUA Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Casimir’s Church, Shenandoah, the Sacred Worship Site of Divine Mercy Parish. Monsignor Ronald C. Bocian, pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Fatima Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights. A visitation will be held from 8 until 9:45 a.m. Saturday at Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah.
