Jason John “Poison” Zulkowski

Jason John "Poison" ZulkowskiJason John “Poison” Zulkowski, 43, of Shenandoah, passed away July 14 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, Allentown.

Born in Shenandoah on March 27, 1975, he was a son of Debra Mulkusky Navarrete and her husband, Martin Navarrete, Shenandoah, and the late John J. Zulkowski.

He attended Shenandoah Valley High School.

Earlier, Jason was employed on highway construction and most recently was employed at Jeld-Wen, Ringtown.

He was a member of the former St. Stanislaus Church, Shenandoah, and the Shenandoah Fish & Game Protective Association, Zion Grove. Jason was an avid football fan with his favorite teams being the Miami Dolphins and Penn State. He enjoyed baseball as well, having rooted for the New York Yankees. However, and above all, his heart was with his children, Zoey and Zachary.

Preceding him in death, in addition to his father, were his brother, Steven Finkel; his maternal grandfather, Joseph A. Mulkusky; paternal grandparents, Joseph and Regina Zulkowski, and his uncle, Joseph Mulkusky.

Surviving, in addition to his mother and stepfather, are his son, Zachary Marino Zulkowski; his daughter, Zoey Zulkowski; a brother, Barry Boyer, Shenandoah; a sister, Dana Zulkowski, Virginia; maternal grandmother, Dolores Mulkusky, Shenandoah, and her companion, John Strhotsky; stepfather, Donald Finkel, Zion Grove; aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

Religious services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah. Monsignor Ronald C. Bocian will officiate. Interment will follow in Old St. Casimir’s Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights. A visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, Shenandoah, is in charge of the arrangements.
