Rose A. (Nasuti) Moffat

Rose A. (Nasuti) MoffatRose A. (Nasuti) Moffat, 86, a resident of the Shenandoah Senior Living Community, passed away peacefully Saturday morning at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Schuylkill E. Norwegian Street.

Born and raised in Shenandoah, she was preceded in death by her parents, Riccardo and Philomena (Bova) Nasuti, and her stepmother, Catherine Nasuti.

She was a graduate of the former J.W. Cooper High School, Shenandoah, and was a member of the former Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Shenandoah.

Rose liked music and going to the movies. She enjoyed going to Atlantic City and visiting the Jersey shore. She most especially enjoyed her many visits with her family.

Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents and stepmother, were her daughter, Grace Moffat, and one brother, James Nasuti.

Surviving are her daughter, Catherine “Cathy” Sajone and her husband, Ray, Shenandoah Heights; three grandsons, Daniel Sajone and his wife, Jessica, Shenandoah, Nick Sajone and his wife, Kelly, Shenandoah, with their children, Rose’s two great-grandsons, Nico and Knox Sajone, and James Sajone, Shenandoah; one brother, Richard Nasuti and his wife, Jacqueline, Lawrenceville, N.J.; four sisters, Matilda Benedetti, Audubon, N.J., Ann Kinderman, Harrisburg, Marie Scislaw, Leesport, and Stella Shumski and her husband, Robert, Turkey Run, Shenandoah; nieces, nephews and cousins.

Red RoseRelatives and friends are invited to attend religious services at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah. Monsignor Ronald C. Bocian will officiate. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home from 9:30 until 11 a.m. Wednesday.

Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, Shenandoah, is in charge of the arrangements.
