Anna R. (Wallace) Walasavage, nee Rozew, age 97, of South West Street, Shenandoah, passed away peacefully Sunday afternoon at Shenandoah Senior Living Community.
Born in Shenandoah, June 13, 1920, she was a daughter of the late John and Anna (Vevasis) Rozew.
She was a 1938 graduate of the former J.W. Cooper High School, Shenandoah, and Empire Beauty School.
Anna was a self-employed beautician.
She was a member of Divine Mercy Parish, Shenandoah, formerly St. George Church.
Anna enjoyed the company of her family and friends; she was an exceptional cook and baker and enjoyed sharing her dishes with those she loved and entertained in her house.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were her husband to whom she was married 67 years, Andrew F. Wallace Walasavage, on October 31, 2007; two brothers, Edmond Rozew Sr. and Albert Vevasis; a sister, Alberta Rozew.
Surviving are two nephews, Edmond Rozew Jr. and his wife, Jill, Shenandoah, and Michael Rozew and his wife, Maria, Houston, Texas; two great-nephews, Ryan Rozew and his wife, Kelly, Shenandoah, and Connor Rozew, Shenandoah; a great-niece, Jenny Kroh and her husband, Michael, Shenandoah; a great-great-niece, Alivia Grace Kroh; cousins.
A viewing will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah. Religious services will follow at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Monsignor Ronald C. Bocian, pastor, will officiate. Interment will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
