Aldona M. (Besky) Pribish, 85, of Shenandoah, passed away peacefully Sunday morning at her residence with her family by her side.
Born in Shenandoah, Oct. 17, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin and Mary Kuzmickas Besky.
She was a 1949 graduate of the former J.W. Cooper High School, Shenandoah.
Aldona was a retired switchboard operator at the former Locust Mountain State General Hospital, Shenandoah Heights.
She was a member of Divine Mercy Parish, Shenandoah, formerly St. George Church. She enjoyed traveling, playing bingo, making trips to the local casinos and the company of her cats. Above all, she loved her family and treasured the time spent with them.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Irene Walenkiewicz. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Surviving are her husband of 64 years, John Pribish Jr.; a son, John T. Pribish, at home; two daughters, Linda Kerlavage and Marie Pribish, both of Shenandoah; three grandchildren, Abigale Pribish, Keith Kerlavage and Kyle Kerlavage; three great-grandchildren, Owen, Oliver and Lyla Kerlavage; a niece, Maryann Barlow, Frackville; cousins and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday in St. Casimir Church, the sacred worship site of Divine Mercy Parish, 229 N. Jardin St., Shenandoah. The Rev. Robert T. Finlan will officiate. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Dawn Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights. Relatives and friends are invited to call from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Casimir Church.
