Bernadette “Bernie” Stack (Staskiewicz) nee Donchesky, 87, of Iselin, N.J., formerly of Shenandoah, died Sunday in Neptune, N.J.
Born in Shenandoah, April 14, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Agnes Krawczyk Donchesky.
In 1947 in St. Casimir Church, Shenandoah, she married Stanley Anthony Stack who preceded her in death Aug. 25, 2012.
She was a former member of St. Casimir Church, Shenandoah.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter Lawrence and Victor Donchesky; and a sister, Rose Sapeta.
Surviving are a son, Robert and his wife, Anne, Delhi, N.Y.; a daughter, Donna, Tinton Falls, N.J.; a son, Larry, Ocean, N.J.; four loving grandchildren, Jennifer, Joan and her husband, Brock, Caitlin and Laura; three sisters, Florence Donchesky, Theresa Mayberry, and Veronica Jubinsky; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday from Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at the sacred worship site of Divine Mercy Parish, St. Casimir Church, 229 N. Jardin St., Shenandoah. Monsignor Ronald C. Bocian, pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Casimir Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights. Relatives and friends may call from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
