Mary A. (Zanus) Yudinsky

Mary A. YudinskyMary A. (Zanus) Yudinsky, age 95 of East Lloyd St., Shenandoah passed away peacefully Tuesday evening at the Shenandoah Senior Living Community.

Born in Shenandoah on May 11, 1919 she was the daughter of the late Simon and Mary (Kumetis) Zanus.

She was a 1939 graduate of the former J.W. Cooper High School, Shenandoah.

Mary was a garment worker for 51 years having retired from the former Shenan Dress Factory, Shenandoah.

She was a member of St. George’s Church, Shenandoah and the ILGWU.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were her husband Leonard “Lenny” Yudinsky on October 13, 2008.  Lenny was a retired bakery salesman and had also worked as a cemetery caretaker for St. George’s Church, Shenandoah.  Mary was also preceded in death by one brother Joseph Zanus in 1985.

Surviving are her son, Robert C. Yudinsky and his wife Joyce (Smith) of Shenandoah; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Prayer and scripture services will be held Saturday, 10:00 AM at Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah.  Rev. Msgr. Ronald C. Bocian, Pastor will officiate.  Interment will follow in Our Lady of Fatima Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights.

on Saturday morning from 8:00 AM until 10:00 AM.  There will be no calling hours Friday evening.
