Eleanor K. (Kvaskas) Bazis, age 90 of Frackville passed away peacefully Christmas Eve at Ridgeview Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Shenandoah Heights.
Born in Connerton on September 30, 1922 she was the daughter of the late Felix and Martha (Ushela) Kvaskas.
She was a graduate of the former J.W. Cooper High School, Shenandoah.
Eleanor was a retired garment worker having worked in the local garment industry.
She was a member of Annunciation BVM Church, Frackville; the Frackville Area Senior Citizens and ILGWU.
Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were her husband, Albert W. Bazis in 1983; a son, Albert J. Bazis in 1993; two brothers, Edmund and Leonard Kvaskas; and a sister, Marlene Hannis.
Surviving are her son, Ronald Bazis and his wife Monika of Denver, PA; two step-grandsons, one step-great-grandson; one sister, Anna Paulikonis of Middletown, VA; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Eleanor was a loving and caring person. She enjoyed vacationing with her son and daughter-in-law to Las Vegas and Myrtle Beach.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m. from Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:15 a.m. in Annunciation BVM Church, Frackville. Rev. Robert T. Finlan, Pastor will officiate. Interment will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
Relatives and friends may call Monday morning from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
