Stanley J. “Stan” Leonarczyk, III, age 32 of 34 W. Laurel St., Shenandoah died Tuesday at Jeanes Hospital, Philadelphia after a courageous battle with leukemia.
Born in Ashland on March 17, 1980 he is the son of Stanley J., Jr. and Theresa “Teri” (Sosna) Leonarczyk of Shenandoah.
He was a graduate of Shenandoah Valley High School Class of 1999.
Stan was of the Catholic Faith.
He last worked at Kowalonek’s Kielbasy Shop, Shenandoah.
Stan was a member of the Park Crest Fish and Game Association, Brandonville. As an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding his ATVs.
Preceding him in death were his maternal grandparents, John and Agnes Sosna and his paternal grandfather, Stanley Leonarczyk, Sr.
Surviving in addition to his parents are two brothers, Kim Leonarczyk and his wife Michelle of Panama City, FL and Travis Leonarczyk of Shenandoah; one sister, Kandi Leonarczyk of Shenandoah; his fiancé Brandi Daniels and her son, Jordan and her daughter, Alyssa all of Ringtown; his paternal grandmother, Helen Leonarczyk of Shenandoah; his faithful companion, his pet Akita, “Sadie”; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Memorial and scripture services will be held Monday at 12:00 noon from Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah. Rev. Msgr. Ronald C. Bocian will officiate.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home Monday from 9:00 am until time of services.
Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
