Cora Mae “Peach” Wasilewski, age 83 of Pattersonville, Ringtown passed away Thursday at her residence.
Born in Pattersonville on April 23, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Alma (Davidson) Shirey.
She was a 1946 graduate of Conyngham Township High School.
She was a retired garment worker having worked in the local garment industry.
Peach was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ and the Ringtown Senior Citizens both of Ringtown and a former member and volunteer of the Union Township Fire Company, Pattersonville.
Peach loved her sewing, crafts and water aerobic classes at North Schuylkill High School.
Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were her husband, Frank A. Wasilewski in 1972; a daughter Linda Hetherington in 1987; and a sister, June Laudeman in 1986.
Surviving are two sisters, Agnes Reigle of Pottstown and Judith Chamberlain Hetherington and her husband Darryl of Pattersonville and her daughters and granddaughters, Vicki Evans and her husband Gerald with their children, Tristan and Colby all of Connecticut and Wendy Cooper and her husband Brian with their daughter Jessica all of Indiana; three grandchildren; Nicole Klaips and her husband Jim of Lititz, twins, D.J. and Julie Hetherington of Ringtown; two great-grandchildren, Preston and Ella Klaips; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 11:00 am at Stauffer-Breznik Funeral Home, 412 West Main St., Ringtown. Rev. Craig Zimmerman, Pastor of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ringtown.
Friends may call Sunday from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm and Monday morning from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Stauffer-Breznik Funeral Home, Ringtown.
