Eleanor A. Urbanavage, age 94, formerly of South Market St., Shenandoah passed away Wednesday morning at the Shenandoah Senior Living Community where she had been a resident.
Born in Shenandoah on March 7, 1918 she was the daughter of the late Charles and Anna (Stefanowicz) Urbanavage.
Prior to her retirement, Eleanor worked for more than thirty years for the Hotel Hershey.
She was a member of St. George’s Church and the Greater Shenandoah Area Senior Citizens, both of Shenandoah.
Eleanor will be remembered for her many handmade yarn crafts and her love of bingo.
Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were two brothers, Charles and Edward Urbanavage.
Surviving are her nephew, Eugene Urbanavage and his wife Carol of Louisville, Kentucky; great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 9:30 am from Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM in Annunciation BVM Church, Shenandoah. Rev. Msgr. Ronald C. Bocian, Pastor will officiate. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Dawn Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday morning from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM. There will be no calling hours Monday evening.
