Stella L. (Leskun) Matlowski, age 89 of 169 Strawberry Lane, Ringtown passed away early Wednesday morning at Broad Mountain Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Frackville.
Born in Shenandoah on June 17, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Stanley and Adele (Goodrich) Leskun.
Stella was a retired garment worker having worked in the local garment industry.
She was of the Catholic faith.
Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were her husband, Charles B “Herby” Matlowski who died on May 15, 2011; three brothers, Stanley, John and Leonard Leskun and three sisters, Mary Jadus, Eleanore Ksionska and Ann Kriger.
Surviving are her nephew and caregivers, Eugene Gubala and his wife Kathy of Ringtown; a nephew, Paul Jadus of Shenandoah; two sisters, Irene Lewandowski and Helen Parchuk both of Shenandoah; additional nieces and nephews also survive.
Religious services will be held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville at the convenience of the family. Rev. Msgr. Ronald C. Bocian will officiate.
Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah is in charge of the arrangements.
