Walter F. “Wally Tabor” Tobarofsky

Wally TaborWalter F. “Wally Tabor” Tobarofsky, age 86 of 371 Ohio Ave, Shenandoah Heights and a former resident Woodside, Queens NY passed away Monday at Lehigh Valley Medical Center-Cedar Crest, Allentown.

Born in Shenandoah on April 2, 1925 he was the son of the late Stanley and Alberta (Grigas) Toborowsky.

He was a 1943 graduate of the former JW Cooper High School, Shenandoah.

He was the proprietor of Wally Tabor Flower Shop in Woodside, Queens NY.

Walter was a member of St. Sebastian Church, Woodside, Queens NY.

Preceding him in death in addition to his parents was his business partner, Bill Foley.

Surviving are a brother, Robert Toborowsky and his wife Mary Ann of Shenandoah Heights and a sister, Rita wife Matthew Sherakas of Shenandoah Heights; an aunt, Sr. Delphine of the Sisters of St. Casimir stationed in Chicago; nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calla LilyFuneral Services will be held on Saturday morning at 10:15 am from Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10:30 am in St. Stanislaus Church, Shenandoah.  Rev. Msgr. Ronald C. Bocian, Pastor will officiate.  Interment will follow in Our Lady of Dawn Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights.

Friends may call Saturday morning from 8:00 am to 10:15 am at the funeral home.

Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, Shenandoah is in charge of the arrangements.

    So, so sorry to hear about Wally. We are heading to block party in Shenandoah and tried to call Wally to meet up with him. His phone was disconnected and we were hoping he had moved in with you.
