Josephine J. (Olock) Werbitski, age 83 of 639 E. Centre St., Shenandoah passed away Sunday at Schuylkill Medical Center-East Norwegian Street, Pottsville.
Born in Morea on September 18, 1927 she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Anna Katchmaric Olock.
She was a graduate of the former Mahanoy Township High School.
Josephine was a devout member and very supportive parishioner of St. Casimir Church, Shenandoah.
Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were her husband, Joseph F. Werbitski, Jr. in 1996; four sisters, Florence Olock, Kathryn I. Koznecki, Mary Fulmer and Theresa Davis.
Surviving are one daughter, Joann Werbitski at home; one brother, Stephen Olock of Shenandoah; one sister, Irene Hower of Temple; nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 9:00 am from Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 am in St. Casimir Church, Shenandoah. Rev. Msgr. Ronald C. Bocian, Pastor will officiate. Interment will follow at 11:30 am at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
Friends may call at the funeral on Friday morning from 8:00 am to 9:00 am. There will be no calling hours on Thursday evening.
