Robert M. Oshman, 67, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2010 at his residence. Born and raised in Shenandoah, PA and formerly of Somerville, he resided in Raritan for the past 40 years.
Mr. Oshman worked for 25 years, first with Johanna Farms in Flemington in the Lacto Division and then with Tropical Cheese in Perth Amboy as their Maintenance Manager, before retiring in 2004.
Robert was a member of the Color Guard of Stevenson D’Alessio Post #12 in Somerville, a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #1964 of Raritan and a lifetime member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #2137 of Somerville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Eleanor Baranowski Oshman and a brother, Leonard, in 2008.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 44 years, Carole H. Balchus Oshman; his loving children, Brian Oshman and wife, Heidi of Stewartsville and Tracy Oshman Kuklo of Flemington; his cherished grandchildren, Tyler and Kira Oshman and Alyssa and Christopher Kuklo; and his dear brother, Francis Oshman and wife, Betty of Florida.
Funeral services will begin with a prayer, at a time to be determined, on Friday, September 24, 2010 at Branchburg Funeral Home, 910 US Highway 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876 (908) 526-7638 followed by a Funeral Liturgy at St. Joseph R.C. Church, 16 E. Somerset Street, Raritan. Interment will be in St. Bernard Cemetery, Bridgewater. Viewing hours will be Thursday, September 23, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at the funeral home.
